Vehicle carrying MP sticker in two accidents

NEW DELHI DEC. 7. A vehicle, allegedly belonging to the Rajya Sabha member, D.P. Yadav, and driven by an "unidentified" person was involved in two accidents in the city on Friday evening. Four persons, including a British national and a woman, were injured.

The vehicle had a Rajya Sabha sticker, which bore the name of Mr. Yadav. A wireless set, permitted by the Communications Ministry, was also found on the vehicle, apart from some documents pertaining to the MP.

Police said the vehicle, a Land Cruiser, bearing the registration number, DL-5C-B-3455, rammed an autorickshaw near Khan Market on Maharishi Raman Marg around 9-50 p.m.

In the impact the autorickshaw was lifted in the air, and hit a tree before landing in a mangled heap. The passengers inside were thrown out. The Land Cruiser just sped away.

.The same vehicle was reported to have been involved in another accident at at Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi a little earlier.. It knocked down a motor-cyclist, Krishna Kumar Bhaduriya, near the ISKCON temple.
