SHGs to fight plastic menace

The GHMC is planning to train women’s SHGs to combat plastic, encouraging them to take up stitching of cloth and jute bags. Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy, has on Saturday, interacted with the women.

The Urban Community Development (UCD) wing has identified 68 women SHGs for the project. Additional Commissioners Sruthi Ojha, Siktha Patnaik, Bhaskara Chary, bankers from Ranga Reddy and Medchal, zonal commissioners, and UCD project managers participated in the meeting.
