War on terror

Sir, — The United States Ambassador, Robert Blackwill, has said that his country is with India in the war against terrorism (Dec. 14). But, why is the U.S. turning a blind eye to the goings-on in Pakistan, which is today unequivocally acknowledged — even by the Western news agencies — as the hub of terrorist outfits known for the killing of innocent people in many countries including India? Isn't it like running with the hare and hunting with the hounds on the part of a global power that considers itself the paragon of righteousness, justice and fair play?
