SALEM: The two-day training programme on treasury rules and computerisation of treasury processes for the treasury officials concluded here on Friday.

Participating in the valedictory of the training programme, Collector A. Sukumaran said computerisation of treasury processes would benefit all the government departments, public servants and the people. The Department of Treasury was serving as a model to other government departments in the implementation of e-governance practices. The training programme would help the treasury officials to carry out their duties in the computerised environment with ease, he added.

Employees of treasuries in Salem, Namakkal and Erode districts attended the training. R. Venkatasubramaniam, Personal Assistant (Treasury Control) and G. Krishnasamy, Personal Assistant (Administration), from the Office of the Special Commissioner of Treasury had trained the officials.

Joint Director of Treasuries, Tiruchi Region, P. Chandran, and Salem District Treasury Officer, A. Rajamani, were present in the function.
