NAMAKKAL: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University located on the Veterinary College and Research Institute (VCRI) campus here will conduct two training programmes for the extension functionaries.

According to a release from Associate Professor and Head B. Mohan, the training on `Recent Developments in Sheep and Goat Production' will focus on advances in breeding, housing, feeding, disease control and marketing of sheep and goat. It will be organised for three days from January 23, next year. The programme on `Recent Developments in Designer Egg Production and Marketing' will focus on advances in production of designer eggs for domestic and export market.

It will be organised for two-days from February 22, 2006.

Veterinarians working in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Livestock Development Agency, hatcheries, feed mills, government and private livestock and poultry farms can attend these two programmes.

No fees will be charged for these programmes. Free lunch and snacks will be provided.

However, the Kendra will not provide accommodation to the participants.
