Swamy condemns Karnataka move

CHENNAI Nov. 24. The Janata party president, Subramanian Swamy, has condemned the Karnataka Government decision to withdraw cases against Kolathur Mani.

``It is truly shocking considering that the Congress Government-appointed Jain Commission had held that Mani knew the whereabouts and plans of Sivarasan and Subha, to assassinate Rajiv Gandhi and for this purpose had arranged transportation to Chennai, of these conspirators.

The CBI-led Multi Disciplinary Monitoring Agency, appointed in 1998 by the Union Government in consultation with the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, is presently probing the role of Kolathur Mani in the conspiracy behind the assassination'', Dr. Swamy said.
