Special camps planned

TIRUNELVELI, OCT.7. The District Industries Centre will conduct two special camps — - the first one at Tenkasi on October 19 and the second one at Ambasamudhram on October 26 — to motivate entrepreneurs of rural areas.

According to an official statement, the camps would be held at the panchayat union offices of Tenkasi and Ambasamudhram at 11 a.m., in which the salient features of the Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana, the New Anna Marumalarchi Thittam and the Entrepreneurs Development Training would be explained in detail for the benefit of the educated unemployed youth.

The aspirants, who want to utilise loans under the PMRY scheme, should be between 18 and 35 years with a minimum educational qualification of a pass in 8th standard and the upper age limit for SC, ST, ex-servicemen, women and the handicapped will be relaxed by 10 years.

The aspirants should bring two copies of their photograph, certificates to prove their educational qualification, ration card and project report when they attend the special camps, the statement said.
