Sanitation plan released

The City Sanitation Plan formulated for the municipality under the National Urban Health Mission was released on Thursday.

Municipal chairperson K. Sathyabama released the plan and the first copy was received by Municipal Commissioner K. Sivakumar.

According to an official release, the plan will be sent to the State Government for approval after which funds will be sought for its implementation. The plan covered nine urban local bodies and was formulated with the assistance of two non-governmental organisation - Exnora International and Water Aid.
