Kozhikode: Hundreds of roses spreading fragrance and colour vied with each other at the Rose Show being organised by the Kozhikode Horticultural Development Society at the Indoor Stadium here from November 14 to 15.

The flowers have been brought from Hyderabad, Mysore, Bangalore, Coimbatore and other centres. As many as 31 varieties are being showcased here.

First Red, Grand Pala, Pretty Woman, Delilah, Emma and Zorange are some of the varieties at the show.

Mayor M. Bhaskaran inaugurated the show. The entry fee is Rs.5 for adults and Rs.2 for children. For student groups, a fee of Re.1 a person will be charged, according to the organisers.
