TAMIL NADU

Residents block traffic

SALEM, NOV 29. Hundreds of women and men blocked traffic at Lion Medu here today to protest against the non-supply of kerosene in their fair price shop.

Police said the salesmen had asked the cardholders to come on November 27 to receive kerosene. But even after two days, kerosene was not supplied to the cardholders.

Irritated people blocked traffic and after persuasion from the officials concerned lifted it.
