Rangasamy refutes AIADMK charges

Pondicherry Aug. 26. The Pondicherry Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, has refuted the AIADMK charges of corruption and malpractices against his government.

Addressing the Congress party workers at a training programme here today, Mr. Rangasamy said if the charges were supported by documents or evidences, the Government would then constitute an enquiry panel to go into the same. The charges were made out of political rancour and lacked any truth. He listed the achievements of his Government and called upon the rank and file to carry the message of achievements to the people.

A meeting of officials would be held next month to review the implementation of various welfare schemes for the scheduled castes under the special component plan.

The Pondicherry PCC leader, V. Narayanasamy, the Ministers, the legislators and representatives of different wings of the party also spoke.
