PMK leaders seek `release' of Sivakami

CHENNAI, DEC. 22. Seeking the ``release'' of its MLA, Mrs. Sivakami Vincent, from the ``custody'' of the AIADMK, the PMK leaders today presented a memorandum to the Governor, the Speaker, the Chief Secretary, the Home Secretary and the DGP.

The PMK president, Mr. G. K. Mani, also threatened a State-wide agitation if Mrs. Vincent was not freed immediately.

In a statement, he claimed that party MLAs were harassed over the phone by the AIADMK headquarters secretary, Mr. K. A. Sengottaiyan.

However, Mr. Sengottaiyan denied any involvement in the disappearance of Mrs. Vincent. The PMK was trying to cover up its inner party problems by making such allegations, he said.
