Panchaloka idol stolen from temple

A panchaloka idol has been stolen from the Muthalamman temple in Ernamangalam near Kalasapakkam.

A woman devotee performing pujas in the temple went to open the doors of the temple on Monday evening.

She got shocked to see the gates broken.

She immediately alerted the villagers who in turn entered the temple and found two-and-a-half feet high panchaloka idol of the presiding deity missing. Other ornaments namely Suryapraba and Nagabarana were also found missing. Kalasapakkam police booked a case.
