CHENNAI: A Metropolitan Magistrate court has reserved its orders on the bail plea of Meenakshi Reddy, who was arrested by the city police. She was remanded to judicial custody on Tuesday in connection with a case of alleged breach of trust involving non-payment of car rentals.

When the matter came up for hearing, Abbudu Kumar Rajarathinam, counsel for Ms. Reddy, said the complainants had filed affidavits in the court, stating that their cars had been returned to them and that their dues had been settled.

They had said they had no objection to bail being granted to her.

According to the complainants, Ms. Reddy, who was operating a taxi service, had failed to pay up rentals for the cars they had entrusted to her.
