No comparison

Sir, — In your Editorial "A singular honour" (July 25) you say, "No man -not even Sunil Gavaskar or Sachin Tendulkar - can now stand up and say he has greater claims to be singled out as the Indian cricketer of the century."

Gavaskar and Tendulkar being honourable men, full of humility, will never argue that they have greater claims.

But just because Wisden has chosen Kapil Dev does it mean this is the end of the debate?
