Maintain accounts of expenses, candidates told

PERAMBALUR, APRIL 24 . The Collector, S. Natarajan, today said candidates should submit their election-related expenditure accounts to the Central Election Observers on the specified date and time fixed for them.

Speaking at a meeting presided over by the general observer, Kusumjit Sidhu, and the expenditure observer, Ajay Dixit, at the Collectorate here, to discuss election-related issues, Mr. Natarajan said the candidates should maintain proper accounts of their election expenditure.

They should also submit information on the types of vehicles used by them as well as those used on their behalf along with their registration numbers. They should also make known their mobile phone number and that of their agents and those working on their behalf.

The Superintendent of Police, P. C. Thenmozhi, district administration officials and representatives of the AIADMK, DMK, Janata Dal (United) and Tamil Maanila Muslim League and an independent candidate attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the Collector said the election observer (general), Ram Krishna, would stay at the Grasim Cement Guest House in Ariyalur.
