‘Green healers’ exhibition opens

CHENNAI: An exhibition of medicinal plants of India – Green Healers – opened at the C.P. Ramaswamy Environmental Education Centre (CPREEC) on Friday.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Advisor to the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests R. Mehta said that the Ministry organised a national environmental awareness campaign every year and the central theme this year was bio-diversity conservation. Mr. Mehta, released a book – ‘Green Healers - Medicinal Plants of India’, written by P. Sudhakar, CPREEC joint director.

The book, priced at Rs. 150, provides basic knowledge on medicinal plants which can be grown in the backyard.
