Two more additional centres set up

TUTICORIN: The Tuticorin district administration has instructed the district employment office to conduct special registration camps for the convenience of students here.

Students who passed out in the Plus Two public examinations have been advised to register their names in the employment offices set up temporarily at schools in Kovilpatti and Tiruchendur apart from the existing permanent employment office in Tuticorin.

In a bid to reduce the strain and ease the situation of students thronging the employment office here, two more additional centres had been set up to prevent any inconvenience for both the students and officials.

The students after obtaining their mark statements on May 25 from their respective schools could register names at three centres, including V.O.C Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Kovilpatti, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Tiruchendur, and the District Employment Office, Tuticorin.

For registration of names at the employment exchange, certain credentials are mandatory. The necessary requirements include photocopy of a ration card, employment office card (if registered already), marks statement of S.S.L.C., Class XII and community certificate.

The registration of names in the employment office can be done for three consecutive days on May 25, 26 and 27 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The administration has made an appeal to the students of the district to make use of the opportunity. The students eligible for applying the benefits under unemployment assistance scheme can also collect application forms from these registration centres and they can also submit a self-declaration form.
