Kaloji passes away

HYDERABAD NOV. 13. Leading champion of civil liberties and people's poet, Kaloji Narayan Rao, died here on Wednesday. His end came around 11.30 a.m. at Nizam's Institute for Medical Sciences (NIMS). He was 88 and leaves behind wife and a son. Kaloji was admitted to the NIMS following a fracture to his ankle sustained recently.

His body is kept at the Kaloji Foundation at Khairatabad and will be taken to Warangal, his native place, on Thursday morning. On Friday, it shall be handed over to Kakatiya Medical College as per his testament.

People made a beeline to the foundation soon after news broke out and the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, was one of those early visitors. He expressed shock at the demise and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
