A journalist, Karthik, employed with a Tamil magazine, Kumudam Reporter , was assaulted by an unidentified gang in Sivakasi on Tuesday night. He sustained injuries on his head and face and was admitted to a private hospital. No police complaint was lodged, sources said. Police are probing if the attack had any connection to a report published in the magazine.
