14th convocation of Great Lakes Institute of Management held

“The U.S. is known as the land of opportunity but I see entrepreneurial spirit in abundance in the people in India,” said Robert G. Burgess, U.S. Consul General, Chennai.

Mr. Burgess was delivering the presidential address at the 14th convocation ceremony of the Great Lakes Institute of Management in the city on Friday. He said the tie-ups in professional education, research and development and manufacturing supply chains had brought close business relationships between the U.S. and India.

Mr. Burgess presented awards and degrees to 605 students. Mohan Lakhamraju, vice-chairman and CEO, Great Lakes Institute of Management, urged students to follow their passion and be persistent. Bala V. Balachandran, founder, dean and chairman, Great Lakes Institute of Management, participated.
