A single-window system with a simple procedure

VIRUDHUNAGAR : Getting community certificates will no longer be a difficult task for the X and XII standard students in Virudhunagar district. The Collector, S.S. Jawahar, has formulated a single-window system with a simplified procedure so that students can get nativity and family income certificates without any hassles.

All that a student needs to do is to submit the application in the prescribed form to the headmaster/headmistress before August 31. The applications would be routed to the taluk offices for processing after being handed over to the Collectorate by the first week of September.

Mr. Jawahar said the applications would be processed within 60 days. He has nominated eight officials in the rank of Deputy Collectors to monitor the process.

As the certificates would be issued to the students at their schools, they are spared from visiting the offices of Village Administration Officer, Revenue Inspector and Tahsildar.

Officials would visit the schools to create awareness among the students of this facility, he said.
