Free health camps on Sunday

CUDDALORE MAY 9. Four free camps, including two eye camps and a homoeopathy camp, will be held in Chidambaram and Viruddhachalam on Sunday. A diabetes camp will be held in Kurunjipadi.

The homeopathy camp will be held between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Municipal Middle School on Maalai Katti Street in Chidambaram. According to S. Brahadeeswaran, president of the Chidambaram Golden Roof Junior Chamber, treatment would be given to those complaining headache, skin diseases, diabetes, joints-pain and blood pressure.

S. Sriganesh Babu, project co-ordinator, would screen patients in co-ordination with V.K. Ganapathy, R.T. Maria Ignatius, R. Lavanya and Sivasankari.

Under the joint auspices of the District Blindness Control Society, the Lions Family of Viruddhachalam and Sankara Eye Hospital, a free eye-camp will be held between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Government Boys' Higher Secondary School in Viruddhachalam.

In a release here today, M. Dominic, District Programme Manager of the Society, said a similar camp would be held simultaneously (between 8 a.m and 2 p.m.) at the Government Girls' Higher Secondary School in Chidambaram, in co-ordination with the Rotary Club of Chidambaram and the Arvind Eye Hospital.

Under the joint auspices of the Cuddalore District Environment Protection Movement and Sri Kannan Hospital, a free health camp for curing diabetes, blood pressure and heart ailments will be held at the Government Higher Secondary School in Kurunjipadi. The camp will be held between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to D. Krishnamurthy, general secretary, and K. Shankar, secretary of the Movement.
