Fix age limit

Sir, — Hectic consultations and lobbying are on for electing the next President. There should be an upper age limit to contest the Presidential elections. Also, he/she should have only one term to give chances to other worthy people.

There is also need for a second Vice-President to chair the Lok Sabha proceedings in an impartial manner. The President and the two Vice-Presidents may be simultaneously elected in the same manner. The senior Vice-President can be made President for the remaining term in case of mid-term vacancy. One of these three highest posts may by rotation be reserved for women.

Legal luminaries like Fali S. Nariman or Soli Sorabjee are the most suitable choices.
