`Five Star' accreditation for school

TIRUCHI: The Dalmia Higher Secondary School at Dalmiapuram in Tiruchi district has bagged the `five star' accreditation from the Bharathidasan University's School Linkage programme recently. The accreditation is valid for a period of five years.

A peer team, which was led by former Vice-Chancellor of Gandhigram Rural Institute G. Pankajam and comprising two members, K. Subbammal, Dean, Faculty of Education, Vinayaga Missions Research Foundation Deemed University and Madhukar, Deputy Advisor, National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore assessed the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the school.

The team also held discussions with students, alumni and parents on the quality of education, infrastructure and extension activities.

The Head of the Department of Educational Technology, R. Karpaga Kumaravel, gave away the accreditation certificate to headmaster R. Natarajan.
