Sir, — The Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, has given Haren Pandya's murder a terrorist colour. But why would terrorists kill a low-profile former State Minister? It is often seen that terrorists generally strike at places where they can target a large number of people such as trains, buses or places of worship, which help in attaining their objective of terrorising people? How can a single killing benefit them? The terrorist strikes are aimed at creating unrest and chaos in society but Pandya's murder would not serve this purpose. So, Mr. Advani's argument that the incident is not politically motivated but the handiwork of terrorists does not hold water.
