“Exercise restraint during agitations”

: The Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaath has appealed to the Muslims not to create any trouble to the public, indulge in violence and damage public properties during their agitations being organized across the country against the controversial American movie ‘Innocence of Muslims’.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, the chairman of TNTJ’s Administrative Committee M. Shamsul Luha Rahmani said the Muslims across the globe, who were agitated over the release of the American movie containing “messages derogating Prophet Mohamed”, were organizing agitations as allowed in the democratic means.

However, some of the agitations organized by a few outfits had ended-up in lathi-charge and destruction of public properties, which was strictly prohibited in Islam.

“While the protestors registering their protest against the producer and the director of the movie and the United States of America, the country should not hurt the feelings of the general public and damage the public properties.

Since violence in any protest by the Muslims will cast a poor image on Islam and on those who follow it, the protestors should completely avoid such situations and never allow it to happen,” Mr. Luha said.
