TAMIL NADU

Enough time given

Sir, - Your editorial ``Working for peace'' (Dec. 27) says that the Pakistan Government should be given leeway for clamping down on terrorists. Gen. Musharraf had ample time and opportunity to root out terrorism, and the changes he has initiated are just cosmetic. Pakistan has to extradite the top leaders of the Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Jaish-e-Mohammad to India for trial. It must ensure that all training camps are closed and it should stop sponsoring these terrorists.

People in India will not accept any compromise until the menace of terrorism is firmly eradicated and Pakistan stops the proxy war.
