Sir, - It is a great surprise that the Prevention of Terrorism Ordinance has been obstructed by all Opposition parties notwithstanding the peril of war at our doorstep. In spite of terrorist attacks on Parliament, the Opposition refuses to see the writing on the wall. The terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon in the U.S. brought together the Americans who offered support to their President.
It is noteworthy that parties in the U.S. did not demand the resignation of their President or Defense Secretary but offered their support. It is regrettable that instead of rallying round the Government, the Opposition parties here are picking holes in the Government's working in spite of a war threat.
