Digiscape Gallery to hold talent search exam

Chennai: Digiscape Gallery, a trainer in e-publishing, is organising its fourth `talent search exam' on December 31 and January 7, 2007, along with other e-publishing firms.

The examinations will help them identify good talent for the industry. Diploma holders or graduates from almost all disciplines, with good English knowledge and language skills are eligible.

Candidates will be selected for sponsorships ranging from Rs.80,000 to Rs.1,20,000, which includes course fee, monthly stipend and other costs.

Eligibility criteria

For the Copy Editing course, a good knowledge of the English language is essential. There is no age limit. Fresh graduates as well as retired teachers, professors and homemakers can take the examinations, though the pagination design course requires basic computer knowledge and general aptitude.

Digiscape Gallery will admit 150 young publishing aspirants for its one-year full time P.G. Diploma in e-publishing. The fee for the course is Rs.25,000.

Digiscape Gallery president A. Elangovan said previous talent search examinations resulted in 211 candidates getting placed with Laserwords, Newgen and Amnet Systems. The value of the sponsorship provided so far had crossed Rs.2 crore.
