Dhinakaran vows to go after ‘traitors’

Claiming that the AIADMK was with him, sidelined party deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran said on Wednesday that he would go after the traitors of the party.

When asked for his comments on the allegation that the BJP was behind the confusion in AIADMK, Mr. Dhinakaran said he cannot blame others when some of his own party men were going against the wishes of the party’s leadership. “The party is with us...traitors will be sent home. We will be after the traitors,” Mr. Dhinakaran said. “We have been waiting for the Governor to take a good action on the representation submitted by our MLAs withdrawing support to the Chief Minister. We will decide on our future course of action,” Mr. Dhinakaran said here during an interaction with reporters. Explaining reasons behind his ‘wait and see’ approach, Mr. Dhinakaran said patience has given good results.

Assailing Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami for betraying the confidence of the party leadership, he asked, “It was Chinnamma (V.K. Sasikala) who made him the Chief Minister. How can he do anything good to the people of Tamil Nadu? Party workers are realising what he has done to the party.”
