CHENNAI, JULY 24. The sky will be partly cloudy on Sunday, with the possibility of development of thunderclouds towards evening or night.

On Saturday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.9. At Meenambakkam, the temperatures were 36 and 25.4 degrees Celsius.

Humidity was 64 and 68 per cent.

Concert

Concern India Foundation, a non-profit public charitable trust, is organising a music concert by versatile playback singer S.P. Balasubramaniam in the city on July 31 to raise funds for the welfare of the underprivileged.

The concert is slated to begin at 6 p.m. at the Kamaraj Memorial Hall.

Eye camp

Dr. Duraiswami Eye Hospitals is conducting a free eye screening camp for around 3,500 children from pre-kindergarten to standard XII on July 26 and 27.

The camp, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at P.S. Senior Secondary School, Mylapore, is supported by the Lions Club District 324 A5.

A team of doctors will look out for refractive errors, squint and retina-related problems.

Textbooks

Sri Sumati Vishal Jain Educational Trust is offering textbooks on loan for first year engineering students.
