AIADMK wants PMK expelled from NDA

Pondicherry July 26 . The AIADMK legislator, A. Anbalagan, has called for expulsion of the PMK from the NDA in view of that party's founder, S. Ramadoss' sustained demand for bifurcation of Tamil Nadu.

Addressing newspersons here today, Mr. Anbalagan said Dr. Ramadoss was driven by selfish motives and did not aim at achieving any social justice as he had been claiming . When the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, was striving hard to make the State the leader on the path of progress, the bifurcation demand was fraught with serious implications.

The regional parties in Tamil Nadu and the national parties had already assailed the demand of Dr. Ramadoss. But he persisted with making the plea and was inclined to cause confusion and chaos. This deserved to be condemned strongly, Mr.Anbalgan said.

The constituents of the NDA had also opposed his demand. Hence the NDA should issue marching orders to the PMK and the party's Ministers jettisoned from the Central Cabinet. If this is not done, one

would gain the impression that the NDA supported the bifurcation demand.
