AIADMK expels four for Muthu's murder

Chennai May 22. Four AIADMK functionaries, arrested in connection with the murder of party's Tambaram town secretary, V. Muthu, on May 19, have been expelled from the primary membership of the party today.

In a statement here, the party general secretary and Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, said the St.Thomas Mount west union women's wing secretary, K. C. Rejina Bai, M. Selvam and M. Anbu, besides D.C.P. Mohan, were being expelled for acting in violation of the ``party's goals and policies and bringing disrepute to the organisation."

Ms. Rejina Bai's husband, K. Jayaraman, who is the Alandur Municipal Commissioner, was also held yesterday in connection with the May 19 murder.
