`Action not taken against corrupt officers'

Pondicherry April 15 . Although written complaints seeking action against certain officers for corrupt practices were given to authorities nothing had been done so far to curb malpractices in the administration, the general secretary of the Central Federation of the Associations of Pondicherry Government Employees, P. Lakshmanasamy, said today.

Speaking to newsmen here, he said the federation planned an agitation for April 17 when the executive committee members of the affiliated associations would lay siege to the Chief Secretariat at the end of a rally to highlight the grievances of the employees.

``We would go in for the next course of agitation later,'' he said.

Representatives from associations of teachers, PWD workers, Ministerial staff, UDCs and LDCs were present.
