CHENNAI: Tired of wearing kurtas, T-shirts and salwars? Would like to drape yourself in ethnic wear? Head for the Co-optex Ethnika showroom to choose from the national award winning designs -- Kodali Karuppur saree to Madurai chungidi.

Apart from the 20 per cent discount, the exhibition offers an additional five per cent off on all products.

The co-optex saree exhibition-cum-sale, now on at the TNHB Plaza, Anna Nagar, is open up to August 21 (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.).

"As the silk sarees are priced below Rs. 3,000, and there is a great demand for them," says Nirmala, showroom manager.

The craze among youngsters is for silk cotton and pure cotton.

The Tiruchi sarees, designed by students of the Ethiraj College, attract customers because of their simple design and contrasting borders.

For exclusive look, choose the Nakamam saree as it dazzles with its rich pallu.

For regular use, one can choose from sarees designed by students of the National Institute of Fashion Technology. "Cora tissue sarees and pure cotton sarees in pastel hues are selling like hot cakes," says Nirmala.

Churidar material, bed spreads and towels are also on sale.
