Vidya Mandir’s new school

CHENNAI: Vidya Mandir@Estancia, a new school from the Vidya Mandir banner will function at the Estancia Township on GST Road from the academic year 2009-2010.

The admission process begins on Monday. The school, which will follow CBSE syllabus, will be an integrated institution from LKG to Class XII. To begin with, admissions would be offered to nearly 240 students from LKG to Class VI. The strength would be increased subsequently as higher classes are added.It will follow the philosophy of the parent school Vidya Mandir, Mylapore, placing the child at the centre of its academic and extra-curricular activities. The school will spread over three acres.

It would have well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, library, facilities for playing and an audio-visual room.

Maheshwari Natarajan, until recently vice-principal of Vidya Mandir will head the new school. Bhavani Raghunandan, principal, Vidya Mandir will be in overall charge. Residents of the township will be given preference.
