Traders’ body demands grievances day

ERODE: The Federation of All Trade Associations of Erode District, Erode, has urged the district administration to hold a grievances meeting for small industrialists and traders, just as it holds a meeting for farmers.

The Federation in a release has suggested that the administration hold the meeting once in three months, so that industrialists and traders can air their grievances.

The traders’ body has also lent its support to the lorry owners’ cause in asking for a reduction in diesel price, asked the Collector to advice the banks not to ask for collateral security in granting loans under employment guarantee scheme, suggested holding special camps to advertise the Prime Minister’s Employment Guarantee Scheme, among others.

At the traders’ body meeting, the General Manager of the District Industries Centre, Erode, R. Ekambaram spoke about the Prime Minister’s Employment Guarantee Scheme.

N. Sivaprakasam of Chokkanatha Veethi Vyaparigal Sangam presided over the function. Federation president N. Kulandaisamy welcomed the gathering.
