TNAU scientist bags `Young Scientist' award

COIMBATORE: N. Anandaraja, Assistant Professor in Agricultural Extension of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, has bagged the Young Scientist award from President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at the 94th Indian Science Congress held at Annamalai University, Chidambaram.

A release from TNAU said that Mr. Anandaraja had been conferred the award for his doctoral thesis on `Developing Farmer-friendly Interactive Multimedia Compact Disc and Testing its Effectiveness in Transfer of Farm Technology'.

The compact disc was tested for its effectiveness as a self-learning tool and group-learning tool. It was found to be efficient.
