CHENNAI: Southern Railway will operate special trains to clear extra rush of passengers.
The Chennai Central–Trivandrum Special (0658) will leave Chennai Central at 3.45 pm on August 14 and reach Trivandrum at 7 am the next day. It will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Podanur, Palghat, Ottapalam, Trichur, Alwaye, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chenganacherry, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam, Quilon and Varkala.
The composition of the train will be one AC two-tier, one AC three tier, 10 sleeper class, three general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
The Coimbatore–Chennai Central Special (0623) will leave Coimbatore at 11.45 pm on August 16 and arrive at Chennai Central at 8.30 am the next day. It will stop at Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, and Perambur.
The composition of the train will be 10 sleeper class and 9 general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.Advance reservation is available for the above trains, according to a railway press release. — Special Correspondent
