Students’ database proposed
MADURAI: A U.S.-based company, which develops software for effective online job recruitment, has come forward to create students’ database for Madurai Kamaraj University and its affiliated colleges.
This customised software for ‘e-cruiting talent’ helps in submitting data to any company for online recruitment and it comes with a tag: ‘The candidate’s resume will never lie idle but will have life always.’
The software was demonstrated to the varsity authorities on Friday .
Naray Viswanathan, president and Chief Executive Officer of Interview Exchange, a Boston-based company, who met the university officials, said on Saturday that the software provided delivery of ‘hiring management solutions’ to companies who were looking for the right talent.
“Many universities in the U.S. are on online mode. So, we wanted the MKU also to think of having a database of students and help them get online recruitment,” he said.
Explaining the features of the new software, he said, “We make all employers have a secured login by using the Internet and the applications are designed to provide total solutions with scaleable tools. ”
According to S. Shanmugasundaram, vice-president of MKU Alumni Association, the varsity is making sure that its old students who are now working in different spheres “give their expertise back to the campus where they studied.”
