They recently staged a series of protests to protect their rights

TIRUNELVELI: Students of the Government Siddha Medical College here staged a demonstration on the college premises at Palayamkottai on Monday.

The protesting students alleged that the students, who recently staged a series of protests to protect their rights, were being punished by the administration by awarding them ‘compulsory break’ from appearing for the examination.

The “fake cases” foisted against them were yet to be withdrawn.

The government should give up its decision to hand over the Survey of Medicinal Plants – Siddha and Clinical Research Unit – Siddha on the premises of the Government Siddha Medical College here to private institutions, they demanded.
