Seva sangham bags national award

DINDIGUL: The Lakshmi Seva Sangham (LSS), a Siddha medicine manufacturing unit of Gandhigram Trust, has bagged the national award for the best performing cluster in southern states, according to a press release from the LSS here on Monday.

The award was presented by Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise, Dinesh Patel, and received by Secretary of Gandhigram Trust and Advisor of Lakshmi Seva Sangham M.R. Rajagopalan at a function held in New Delhi recently.

It has been implementing Siddha and Ayurveda cluster under Scheme for Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFRTI) of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise, New Delhi, through Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Mumbai. The LSS has been implementing SFRTI project in Athoor, Nilakottai and Kodaikanal blocks in Dindigul and Andipatti block in Theni districts.
