Seminar on leprosy control held

A seminar on leprosy control was held at the Railway Hospital on Friday in connection with the Anti-Leprosy Day. Speakers highlighted the fact that leprosy was curable and proper screening was essential. It was inaugurated by K. Arunachalam, Deputy Director of Medical Services (Leprosy).

Kasturbai Jayaraj, Chief Medical Superintendent, presided. S. Krishnan, Head, Department of Skin Diseases, Government Rajaji Hospital, delivered the keynote address. P. R. Ganesh, Senior Divisional Medical Officer, welcomed the gathering and V. Gopalakrishnan, Senior Divisional Extension Educator, proposed a vote of thanks. A free skin camp was also organised.
