Annual sports meet

The SKV Matriculation Higher Secondary School, M. Kandampalayam in Namakkal district, organised annual sports meet from December 14 to 16.

West Zone Inspector General of Police K. Rajendran inaugurated the meet and urged the students to take more interest in sports. He also inaugurated an exhibition titled Health is Wealth. Vice-Chairman, Technical Committee, Tamil Nadu Athletic Association, N. Annavi and Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited Chief Vigilance Officer C. Sylendra Babu participated in the sports meet. School chairman S. Ramamoorthy presided. Winners of various events were given prizes.

Projects

Students of PSGG Kanyagurukulam Higher Secondary School exhibited various projects at the science talent exhibition organised by the Department of School Education along with Rotary Manchester. V. Muthulakshmi and S. Poornima of Class XI won the first prize among the aided schools. V. Rajeswari and S. Divyabharathi of Class IX, presented a project on the “Effects of Acid Rain,” which won the third prize.

Art of Living classes

Elgi Matriculation Higher Secondary School organises “Art of Living” classes for the staff.

The programme includes yoga, sessions on self-awareness, ‘Sudarsana Kriya.’ The aim of the programme is to ensure that the staff is not stressed out, improve their health and instil a renewed sense of confidence in them.
