Reader nominated to wildlife institute body

TIRUNELVELI: Albert Rajendran, Reader in the Research Department of Zoology, St. John’s College, Palayamkottai, has been nominated by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests, as the member of Wildlife Institute of India Society, Dehradun.

Wildlife Institute of India (WII), an autonomous institution, was established in 1982 for undertaking training and research in the field of wildlife science.

Dr. Albert Rajendran is holding the post of honorary Wildlife Warden for Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari districts, nominated by Tamil Nadu Forest Department. He is a resource person in Wildlife conservation for the training of Indian Forest Service officer trainees and is a member of Koonthankulam Bird Sanctuary Protection Committee.
