Railway hospital gets equipment worth Rs. 22 lakh

MADURAI: Infrastructure at the railway hospital here has been upgraded with the installation of a Gastro Intestinal Videoscope, Colono Videoscope and Phaco Machine facility at a cost of Rs. 22 lakh.

Divisional Railway Manager Hemant Kumar inaugurated the facilities on Monday. Senior Divisional Medical Officer S. Kanakamani explained their functioning. Senior Divisional Medical Officer Baskaran explained the advantages of Phaco emulsifier.

Future plan

Mr. Hemant Kumar said that the outpatient department would also be upgraded and the hospital would then be able to perform major surgeries.
