National seminar on aerospace structures to be held on Oct. 15

COIMBATORE: The Aeronautics Research Foundation and Development Board, Government of India, along with Park College of Engineering and Tekhnology, Kaniyur, will organise the 15th National Seminar on “Aerospace Structures” at the college on October 15 and 16.

The seminar will act as a forum for interaction among students, scientists, academicians and engineers, TK Seshachari, Air Vice Marshall (Retd), Director, Aero, Park College of Engineering and Tekhnology, told presspersons here on Saturday. The theme of this year’s seminar would be ‘Experimental Techniques in Structural Engineering.”

About 100 scientists and practicing engineers from ISRO, NAL, VSSC, DRDO, and HAL were expected to participate.

Papers from IIT, IISC and various centres of scientific excellence throughout the country would be presented.

Twenty poster presentations would be held.

In addition, CV Joga Rao Memorial lecture, three plenary lectures and four invited presentations would be part of this seminar. Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Civil Aviation, Praful Patel, would inaugurate the seminar.

An exhibition of aerospace equipment will also be held along with the seminar.

HAL, DRDO, ISO, IAF and the Indian Navy will exhibit their products.
