Meet soon on water problem

KANCHEEPURAM: The district administration has announced that a meeting will be convened to discuss drinking water supply shortage problem in the district.

Disclosing this at the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meeting, chaired by Sriperumbudur MP and former Union Minister T. R. Baalu, the Collector said a meeting of MPs, MLAs and local body representatives would be convened to discuss the problem as highlighted by the MLAs and local body representatives at the DVMC meeting. Stating that the meeting would be convened soon, the Collector had also expressed his confidence that a permanent solution to the problem with respect to each area would be emulated and implemented, official said. Progress of projects implemented through Sarva Sikshya Abhiyan scheme were discussed.
