Make use of health camps: Collector

NAGAPATTINAM: The mass contact programme organised by the district administration at Nalladai in Tarangampadi taluk on Wednesday evoked good response. More than 300 people submitted petitions to the Collector, Tenkasi S. Jawahar.

The Collector said that nearly 50 per cent of the petitioners sought free house site pattas, free land, old age pension, new family cards and free LPG gas stoves and connections. He told the villagers to make use of the Government’s free healthcare (‘Varumun Kappom’) scheme and get treatment at the free medical camps being conducted. In all 60,000 colour TV sets would be distributed before the end of the year.
